If you’d like to keep track of new articles as we add them to ShapingYouth.org, we’ve made it easy for you to “subscribe” to our RSS “feed.”
If you’re an expert, just use one of the buttons below this article to subscribe, or go pick up our RSS feed directly.
If you’re new to this concept, here’s what “subscribing” entails.
Using a mechanism called RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication, the Shaping Youth.com web server makes available (in a very special way) the titles and excerpts of the last few articles that have been written on ShapingYouth.org. To keep up with Shaping Youth, all you need to do is register with a feed “aggregator” (a web site like Bloglines, or your Google Homepage or MyYahoo) that is capable of reading the RSS feed information and showing you what’s newly-available. You then tell the aggregator what blogs you want to read. This is called subscribing to an RSS feed. We make the subscription process easy by including one-click icons or buttons that link our RSS feed to your aggregator without any messy cut-and-paste operations.
In fact, you may already be registered with such an aggregator and not realize it, since AOL, Google, Yahoo, Netscape and many other services have “my home page” services that can monitor RSS feeds. So if you are registered with one of these service, you are only a click or two away from reading Shaping Youth whenever there’s a new article. And there are many other aggregators available – these are only a few.
If you prefer to be notified by email, rather than having to check the aggregator’s web site, you can use a service such as Feedblitz which will mail you an alert whenever there are new articles.
If you want to subscribe to Shaping Youth, and you aren’t registered with one of these services, you can just click one of the subscribe buttons that appears below this article and go thru the registration process with the service you choose. You can make your choice from our buttons or you can register with other services.
We hope you’ll enjoy keeping track of what’s new at Shaping Youth!
